World Tourism Day 2018 at Capilano University was a great success! Thank you to all of the guest speakers at the industry panel and to everybody who participated in the day’s events!
PATA Capilano University Student Chapter has partnered with Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Student Association (TRECSA) to bring a full day of events to campus for World Tourism Day.
The day began with the first ever PATA Cap U Podcast episode launching, which featured the Co-Founder and CTO of Travelkoin and Traveliko, Bjorn Harvold.
TWe hosted a panel of industry guest speakers from Destination BC, Landsea Tours, Grouse Mountain, and InterVISTAS Consulting in CE148 from 1:00 – 2:30 PM. They focused on 2018’s UNWTO theme of Tourism and the Digital Transformation.
To celebrate the end of the day in style, a #WTD2018 Pub Night took place at the Coach House at the Holiday Inn, just down the hill from campus. Thank you for raising a glass to tourism and the exciting year ahead with us!
