Director of Events
The Events Director is involved with all aspects of event management including development, organization, and promotion. With support from the Marketing team, the Events Director will regularly communicate with partners and stakeholders to ensure events will run smoothly. During the Fall 2021 semester, we are anticipating several in person events, as well as virtual events and webinars. Upcoming events include World Tourism Day happening via Zoom on September 27th.
The Podcast Host supports the podcast team with the development of our “What in the World in Travel” podcast. The Podcast Host is in charge of conducting interviews with our participants, and helps maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
We are always looking for general members to join our team! General members are champions of sustainable and responsible tourism, helping to support the various subcommittees of our student chapter! General members are also eligible to apply for the PATA Youth Programme to gain access to webinars and events hosted by PATA HQ and participate in mentorship sessions and networking events with PATA’s global community.
The Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting the chapter’s marketing initiatives and promoting events and new podcast episodes. The Marketing Assistant will work in collaboration with the Marketing team and the Podcast team. Duties include managing social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and updating the social media calendar as necessary. The Marketing Coordinator will also assist with maintaining the WordPress website, and create digital content using Canva.
Director of IT
The Director of IT’s role is to support the IT team with the podcast and editing of the episodes and the Marketing team with the website. The IT Director will be responsible for managing and maintaining online platforms such as SoundCloud and Spotify.
